Everything you need to know ahead of WWE Money In The Bank 2021 on Monday (5:30 am IST).

WWE is back on the road. The fans have finally returned and we could not be happier about it. WWE Money In The Bank will be the first full capacity PPV and will be held in Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.

Last night’s Smackdown gave us the much-anticipated return of the fans and it was everything we hoped for. The fans are the backbone of wrestling and with them, it just feels right.

The current match card consists of 5 championship matches and the exciting ladder matches for the men’s and women’s MITB. Bianca Belair vs Bayley was also supposed to happen at this event but was canceled due to Bayley suffering an unfortunate injury.

WWE Money In The Bank 2021 Matches and Predictions

Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio(c) vs the Usos for the Smackdown Tag Team championship

The father-son duo of Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio won the tag team titles at Wrestlemania’s Backlash back in May. Rey then started a rivalry with Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship which he lost in a Hell in a Cell match on the Smackdown before HIAC. The Mysterios have since continued their feud with Reigns on this week’s Smackdown when they faced each other in a 6-man tag match involving Edge and the Usos. The Usos have been on a roll recently being involved in the highly intriguing storyline with Reigns and by the looks of it, a tag team championship run is on the horizon for the pair.

Prediction: Usos win the tag team championships

AJ Styles and Omos(c) vs The Viking Raiders for the Raw Tag Team Championships

Styles and Omos have been an interesting pair, to say the least. They won the titles as Wrestlemania from the New Day and were absent for weeks after that. This rivalry with the Viking Raiders has been quite lackluster. With screwy finishes and interference from Riddle, this seems like more of an afterthought on the show. So I don’t expect the titles to be changing hands here.

Prediction: AJ Styles and Omos retain.

Rhea Ripley(c) vs Charlotte Flair for the Raw Women’s Championship

Ripley’s title run has been marred with bad bookings and– Charlotte Flair. Their rivalry seems to be never-ending as they have been feuding since after Wrestlemania. This looks like it would be the end of this rivalry and I could not be happier.

Prediction: Rhea Ripley retains.

Bobby Lashley(c) vs Kofi Kingston for the WWE Championship

Lashley has been a very dominant champion since his win against The Miz in February. He retained the title against Drew at Wrestlemania in a grueling opener and he retained again at Backlash against Drew and Strowman in a fantastic match. Raw has been terrible lately but Lashley is one of the good things happening on the show. When Kofi challenged Lashley for the title, everyone expected him to get squashed by the Almighty. But with upset roll-up victories over Lashley, the results of the match become uncertain. However, I cant see Kofi winning this weekend as WWE seems to be high on Lashley as the champion.

Prediction: Bobby Lashley retains.

Roman Reigns(c) vs Edge for the Universal Championship

Reigns have been the best thing about SmackDown since he returned last August. Winning the championship the very week he returned and being undefeated ever since. It seems like he will be champion for a very long time. With recent reports claiming he is set to be facing John Cena at this year’s SummerSlam, it seems very unlikely that the Rated R Superstar is toppling the head of the table this weekend.

Prediction: Roman Reigns retains.

Asuka vs Naomi vs Alexa Bliss vs Nikki A.S.H vs Liv Morgan vs Zelina Vega vs Natalya vs Tamina for the Women’s Money In The Bank

WWE took Bray Wyatt’s character, watered it down heavily, and gave it to Bliss. It is easy to assume that WWE will be into Bliss winning the briefcase with some “spooky” shenanigans. Liv Morgan is another viable option to win the match as she needs it to prove herself. Other than these two, Nikki and Naomi have some momentum to win this match but it is highly unlikely.

Prediction: Alexa Bliss wins the MITB.

Ricochet vs John Morrison vs Riddle vs Drew McIntyre vs Big E vs Kevin Owens vs Shinsuke Nakamura vs Seth Rollins for the Men’s Money In The Bank

Ok, there are many possible winners for this match. Big E is the one who I think will benefit the most from it as he could challenge Reigns and finally become a solidified star. Seth Rollins also has a lot of momentum heading into the match as he stood tall in the showdown at the go-home smackdown last night. McIntyre is another viable candidate to win this match as it could be like a loophole for him to challenge Lashley again for the Championship. However, McIntyre as champion has become very stale and I think it’s best he does not become champion for a while.

Prediction: Big E wins the MITB.
