Ric Flair has reportedly been released by WWE according to a report by Fightful and Wrestling Inc. WWE are yet to announce this but Fightful has learned that both the parties have come to terms.
Flair is one of the most legendary wrestlers in the history of wrestling. The Nature Boy is synonymous with WCW in their golden era. He currently shares the record of the most championship reigns (16) with John Cena. He is often regarded as one of the best wrestlers of his era. His daughter, Charlotte Flair is still with the company.
He had an emotional retirement at WrestleMania 24 but he wrestled his final match in 2011. He returned to WWE in 2012 and has been featured quite often in storylines involving Charlotte, Randy Orton, or Triple H.
Ric Flair In Recent Years
His final storyline in WWE came in January/February. He was involved in a storyline involving Charlotte and Lacey Evans which was dropped after Evans got pregnant.
He has openly spoken about that storyline since then. He has revealed that he did not like that storyline.
Charlotte Flair still remains with the company. She was even the Women’s Champion about a week ago.
But, now with Andrade and her father not in the company, there is a very high chance she could be out of the company in the future. But it is highly unlikely as of now.
