There is no doubt that Rohit Sharma will be one of the two openers for India. He has been in excellent form recently, and you can never keep a player like him out of your team. He is a good player of spin and also fast bowling, which will be very useful in the English conditions.

India’s top two choices for their second opener are Mayank Agarwal and Shubman Gill. Shubman Gill can get on the top of the ball and face bounce well. Mayank Agarwal, on the other hand, is a better player of swing. Although, he has faced some issues with the same in the recent past. Mayank Agarwal, along with Rohit Sharma, should be an ideal choice in the swinging English conditions. He is a good player, and despite his recent form, he deserves to be in the playing XI.

Middle-order batsmen

India has a perfectly set middle-order, with Cheteswar Pujara and Virat Kohli at three and four. Ajinkya Rahane and Rishabh Pant also are set at five and six. Cheteshwar Pujar, ever so dependable in any conditions. He is India’s biggest asset, with his traditional approach in the test format. Virat can adapt to any situation effortlessly. He is an extremely strong character on the field, and a lot expected out of him in the finals. Ajinkya Rahane is the calmest Indian player, he has the most runs for India in the WTC, and the team can rely on him in tough conditions. Rishabh Pant has had the best improvement graphs in the past few months, and he deserves to be in the playing XI for the finals.

Bowling Attack

The English Conditions demand more pacers, and India has a lot of options. But their winning combination is two spinners with three pacers, and it is best if they stick with that.

Ravindra Jadeja is the perfect all-rounder that India has. He can attack with the bat and score at a quick strike rate. With the ball, he is fast and can take wickets. He is a perfect fit at number seven. Ravichandran Ashwin also is a wicket-taking bowler, especially against the left-handers. New Zealand has quite a few left-arm batsmen. Apart from that, he can show some great resilience as a batsman.

India has some of the best inform fast bowlers. Shardul Thakur and  Mohammed Siraj were amazing in the recent tour of Australia. Umesh Yadav has been around for many years now, but it is the trio of Jaspreet Bumrah, Ishant Sharma, and Mohammed Shami that might make it to the playing XI. These three have been around for India for a few years now, and all of them have been match winners. All three can move the ball, and the English conditions will assist them even more.

Here’s hoping that India makes this finals count and makes the entire nation proud.
