Cricket returns to Pakistan after a successful campaign both in T20 World Cup and against Bangladesh. However, New Zealand left the series in the middle of the tour due to security concerns. West Indies is touring Pakistan for the white-ball leg in the month of December. Moreover, Pakistan performed outstandingly well in the T20 World Cup, reaching the semi-finals. The Pakistani team carried their good form to Bangladesh and clean swept the T20i series with test series victory. On the other side, West Indies had a horrible T20 World Cup as they were the defending champions but could not replicate their 2016 T20 WC performance. This series will be their first series after the T20 WC exit.

The series consists of three ODI’s and three T20is to be played from 13th December 2021 and will finish on 22nd December. All the matches of both One Day Internationals and T20 internationals will take place in Karachi due to COVID-19 concerns.
