Kamal Preet Kaur| Early Life and Education:
Kamal Preet Kaur was born on 4 march 1996. Kamal Preet Kaur comes from Badal village which is situated in the Sri Muktsar Sahib district of Punjab. she wasn’t interested in academics from childhood. On the insistence of her education coach, she took up athletics in 2012. She finished 4th at her Delaware meet.
she is really bad at her studies so there was state meet and her coach took her there and she feel like she has to finish her fourth right now and everybody knows that she had an honest physique. so, she assumed that let’s give a sport a try as she is not very great in studies.so she discusses with the coach and took the game.
Kamal Preet Kaur | Career in sports and achievements:
In 2014, Kamal Preet Kaur started taking the game seriously and her initial training begin at the sports Authority of India Centre in her village. Her everyday practice and attitude soon begin to add results as she became the U-18 and U-20 national champion in 2016.
In 2019 at Asian athletics championship in Doha she finished fifth &In 2017, she finished 6th at the 29th world University games.
She became the 1st Indian woman to breach the 65m barrier in discus throw & made history at the 24th Federation Cup Senior Athletics Championships. It was the 2nd time in a row that she had finished at the top of the podium. In the 2019 edition, she had clinched the gold with a throw of 60.25m.
Job Opportunity at Indian Railways:
As she is clerk, she works with the Indian Railways & represents them in National meets. At the 24th federation cup senior athletics championships, she even couldn’t sleep for 3 nights due to nervousness & excitement before representing her team in meet.
