Marco Asensio Willemsen is a football player from Spain who currently plays for Real Madrid FC and in the Spanish national football team.
He primarily plays as an attacking midfielder; Marco sometimes also plays as a winger. He is famous for his left and right foot skills, his acceleration, and shot intensity.
Marco Asensio was born on 21st January 1996 in the Palma in Spain. He started playing football when he was seven years old he joined de Calvia and played for three years there then later he joined the Mallorca in 2006.
In the 2013-14, season he made his senior debut in the Tercera Division.
After that, he made his debut for the Mallorca team against Recreativo de Huelva in the Segunda Division Championship.
In 2014 he signed with Real Madrid for a reported fee of 3.9 million euro and remained at Mallorca for the season.
He had a pre-season training with Real Madrid and was loaned to RCD Espanyol.

Marco first played in La Liga for RCD Espanyol. He has made 4 goals and 12 assists for Espanyol.
For his performances, he was given the Player of the year award in the 2015-16 La Liga season.

Asensio’s outstanding performance at the club level and Spain U21 team bought him a place in the Spain National team.
In May 2016 made his debut for Spain against Bosnia and Herzegovina in which Spain won 3-1. In the 2016-17 season, he was part of the Real Madrid team that won the 2016-17 La Liga and UEFA Champions League where he gave brilliant performances for Real Madrid. He assisted 2 goals and scored 3 goals.
In 2017 he then played for the Spain U21 team in the European U21 Championship, he won a silver Boot there.
Recently he signed a long-term deal with Real Madrid keeping him till 2023 in the club.
