Angad Vir Singh Bajwa is an Indian Skeet sport shooter. He represents India in international skeet shooting events. He has a World Record of scoring a perfect 60 out of 60 in the Skeet Finals.
He was born on 29 November 1995. Angad started shooting at the age of 12. He is from a wealthy family his dad has a business in Canada. He went to Canada in 2013 for his studies but then he came back to India soon he left his studies midway for shooting. After coming back to India he continued his studies and shooting.
Path to renown
In 2012 Angad began his professional shooting career when he was just 12. He used to represent Canada and was the youngest Canadian Open champion in 2014.
In 2015, he got back to India and started representing India. He took part in few national competitions. At the National Shooting Championship, he won a gold medal in 2018 before going on an international stage.
Angad became a national champion in 2019 at the National Shotgun Championships. At the world university games, he won a bronze medal.
In 2018 he participated in the Asian Short gun Championship in Kuwait City and bagged a gold medal by setting up the world record of 60/60. He was one of the first ones from India to ever get a gold medal in skeet discipline in a continental or world tournament.
He won a bronze medal in 2019 at the Summer Universiade in Naples and won a gold medal at the Asian Shooting Championship and silver in mixed team hence he got a place in the 2020 Olympics. In 2021 the 1st world cup at Cairo Egypt took place this was the 1st competition after 2019 and he won a bronze medal in the skeet team event. He will be representing India in the 2021 Olympics.
