EARLY LIFE: Bajrang Punia
Bajrang Punia is an Indian freestyle wrestler from Jhajjar, Haryana. He got inspired by Yogeshwar Dutt.
Bajrang was born on 26th February 1994 in Jhajjar, Haryana. His parents are Balwan Singh Punia and Ompyari. The details of schooling and graduation are not known. He is also working as a TTE for Indian Railways. Bajrang would have been a Kabaddi player if he didn’t become a wrestler. Bajrang started playing this sport at the age of 7.
CAREER:
Bajrang fate was laying the inspiration for his flourishing career in wrestling and thanks to the rationale, the primary time got represented India in the 2013 Asian wrestling championships held in New Delhi (India), during which he lost his game against Hwang Ryong-hak to (3-1) under the 60 kg weight category(Freestyle). And despite that South Korea n wrestler, Hwang Ryong-hak won the “Bronze Medal”.
In the 2013 Budapest World Wrestling Championships Bajrang was so fortunate to win ”the trophy against the “Enkhsaikhany Nyam-Ochir by (9-2) under the 60 kg ( freestyle) weight category through the ”repechage round”. In Glasgow, Scotland, 2014 Commonwealth Games, he won the silver against David Tremblay by (1-4) under the 61 kg ( freestyle) weight category. In the 2014 Incheon, South Korea, Asian Games, he won the silver against Masoud Esmaeilpoorjouybari by (1-3) under the 61 kg ( freestyle) weight category.
In Astana, Kazakhstan, 2014 Asian Wrestling Championships, once more he faced the Irani wrestler Masoud Esmaeilpoorjouybari, and he won the silver by (1-3) under the 61 kg ( freestyle) weight category. In 2017, New-Delhi, India Asian Wrestling Championship 2017 he was the rising star therein games during which he won a trophy. In Gold Coast, Australia, 2018 Commonwealth Games he won the trophy under 65 kg ( freestyle) weight category. therein game, he was so dominating over Kane Charig. His techniques and wrestling skills are beaten by Wayles wrestler to win the trophy.
On the August 19th, 2018 Asian Games. He knocked down Takatani Daichi by (11-8) to win the trophy under the 65 kg ( freestyle) weight category.
