Shakib Al Hasan becomes Bangladesh’s top ODI wicket-taker after dismissing Brendan Taylor in their match against Zimbabwe.
He already holds the title for the highest wicket-taker in Test and T20 matches. He has 210 and 92 wickets respectively. His stunning performance in their match against Zimbabwe taking 5 wickets gave them the victory.
Shakib Al Hasan’s impressive record
Shakib now has 274 wickets in 213 ODI matches.
This isn’t his first time holding this title however as in 2016 he reached that milestone only for Mortaza to overtake him. But now that Mortaza played his last ODI match, the record seems to be with Shakib for a long time.
Shakib Al Hasan returned to the team after missing their T20 and ODI series against New Zealand due to a thigh injury. He even missed their series against Sri Lanka due to IPL commitments.
He now holds the title for the highest wicket-taker in all 3 formats (Test, ODI, T20) with 210, 92, and 274 wickets, respectively.
He is also the 5th highest wicket-taker overall in T20 cricket right after Rashid Khan and Shahid Afridi.
