We are finally getting back some T20 action. PSL 2021 is all set to resume on the 1st of June in Abu Dhabi. In this series of blogs, we will be analyzing the season so far of every team. The last team is Quetta Gladiators.
Quetta Gladiators so far
Quetta Gladiators is highly dependent on some of the players that have been performing well for them right now. No other player can score runs for the team or take wickets for them. They need to address this situation at the earliest and make sure that they play better. Because they are one of the strongest teams on paper.
They are at the last position in the points table with 1 win in 5 matches and 2 points. A comeback will be difficult, but they still have a chance to qualify for the playoffs.
Players to watch out for
Sarfaraz Ahmed- Sarfaraz has been their most important player with a strike rate of 146 at an average of 37 runs. He has to regroup his team and make sure they perform better in the upcoming matches.
Chris Gayle- He has not played too many matches this season, but we all know what Chris Gayle can do. He has a strike rate of 167 this season, classic Chris Gayle. If he gets an opportunity, he will surely win you matches.
Zahid Mahmood- He is their leading wicket-taker this season, and he has played well. He has an economy of 8.5, and it is expected that he continues similarly for the rest of the season.
Dale Steyn- Dale Steyn’s stats this season are not very impressive, but he is a great bowler, and it is expected that he takes the charge of the bowling lineup and makes the most out of it.
