JOURNEY OF ASIF ALI

Asif Ali is a 29-years-old, born on 1st October 1991. Is a professional cricketer who plays for Pakistan.

He represents Northem and plays for Islamabad United in the Pakistan Super League.

In 2018 he was one of the three players who were awarded a central contract for the 2018-19 seasons by the Pakistan Cricket Board.

Career

In 2017-18, Quaid-e-Azam Trophy Asif Ali was the leading run-scorer with 369 runs in six matches for Faisalabad.

He named in Punjab’s squad for the 2018 Pakistan Cup and score the most run for his team.

328 runs in four matches in the tournament.

On 3 June, he went to play for the Edmonton Royals in the player’s draft for the Global T20 Canada tournament.

In 2019, he was in the Sindh’s squad for the 2019 Pakistan cup.

Later that year he was in the team for the Cape Town Blitz team for the 2019 Mzansi Super League tournament.

In 2019 he was in the Northern’s squad for the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy tournament and for the Dhaka Platoon in Bangladesh Premier League 2019-20.

For the 2020 Caribbean Premier League he joined the Jamaica Tallawahs squad.

January 2021, he was in the Northern’s squad for the 2020-21 Pakistan cup.

International

Asif Ali was in Pakistan’s Twenty20 International squad for their series against the West Indies

He made his T20I debut against West Indies on 1 April 2018 and his ODI debut on 13 July 2018. 

For the 2019 Cricket World Cup, he joined named to Pakistan’s squad.
