Pakistan Super League will resume tomorrow. Islamabad United take on Lahore Qalandars at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi. Sony Pictures Sports Network will telecast all the matches in India. Single headers will start at 9:30 pm IST and due to the time boundations, double headers will start at 6:30pm IST. PSL was postponed last year due to the rising covid cases.
Pitches in Abu Dhabi
The track on Abu Dhabi is close to what we expect from pitches of UAE. The pitch is not tough to bat on. The average first innings score at Sheih Zayed Stadium in 2020 was 162.5. Despite having a decent batting track, Abu Dhabi’s average score is not so high. The reason of such average score would be the long boundaries and bigger ground.
The pitch assists pacers upfront. IPL2020 saw a lot of pacers picking up wickets in the powerplay itself. Spinners have an important role to play in the middle overs. The highest score last year was 195/5, scored by Mumbai Indians. Dew won’t come into play early as the dimensions are pretty big in this ground. The wind keeps blowing and dew’s arrival is delayed.
It will be interesting to see how this pitches roll out in Pakistan Super League 2021.
Toss Prediction
Captains would love to win the toss and field first. Even though dew arrives late, it does arrive. Winning the toss and batting first will not be a bad decision either but chasing on this ground is rather less challenging.
Toss will be done at 9:00 pm IST and 8:30 PKT.

Islamabad United vs Lahore Qalandars
Islamabad United stands on the 3rd postion and Lahore Qalandars 4th on the points table. They’ve both played 4 games and have won 3. Whichever team wins, climbs to the top of the table.
Lahore Qalandar will fancy their chances tomorrow with their premium spinner returning to the squad. Rashid Khan, the spin king, played just 2 matches as he had to return for national duties. They have a top class pace trio. Led by Shaheen Afridi and assisted by Haris Rauf and Dilbar Hussain. Fakhar Zaman and Mohammed Hafeez carry the batting line up on their shoulders.
Islamabad United have a top side with them. Their overseas batsmen are their strength. Colin Munro and Usman Khwaja with veteran Pakistani Asif Ali fare well in the top. Hussain Talat and Shadab Khan do well down the order. Their pace department is led by the maestro Hasan Ali. Muhammad Musa and Faheem Ashraf hunt in a pair.
A really exciting match to resume Pakistan Super League’s 2021 edition.
