Surjeet Singh is a professional kabaddi player who plays for Indian National Team and Puneri Paltan in the Pro Kabaddi League. Singh was born on 10 August 1990 in Rohtak, Haryana. He is one of the most incisive defenders in the game. He specializes in blocking and dashing opponents. Surjeet got a job with the Services at a very young age. Surjeet was part of the Indian contingent which won the 2014 Asian Games, 2016 Kabaddi world cup, 2017 South Asian Games, and Asian Beach Games.
Career
Surjeet Singh began his Pro Kabaddi League career with Puneri Paltan in season 3. He helped his team reach the semi-finals with his excellent form. Surjeet scored 48 tackle points from 12 matches to finish as the third-best defender in season 3. U Mumba signed Surjeet for season 4. In season 4, continued his good spell and helped his team win the Pro Kabaddi League title. he scored a remarkable 37 tackle points for his team.
In season 5, Bengal Warriors signed Surjeet for a mammoth amount of 73 lakhs. He was the most expensive at the auction. He was appointed as captain. Surjeet was the second-highest tackle points scorer for season 5. He scored 76 points from 24 matches. In season 6, Bengal Warriors retained Surjeet. He once again led the team to the playoffs. He scored 57 points from 23 matches. Bengal let go of Surjeet even after he was the Highest scoring Defender for the team. In season 7, Puneri Paltan signed Surjeet. He was also appointed as the captain of the team. Surjeet was one of the top defenders of the league. He scored 63 points from 21 matches.
