Nitin Tomar is a professional kabaddi player who plays for Indian National Team and Puneri Paltan in the Pro Kabaddi League. Tomar was born on 30 April 1995 in Malakpur, Uttar Pradesh. In 2012, there was a local Kabaddi tournament that was happening near his locality. The Kabaddi teams of the Indian Army, Indian Air Force, and Indian Navy were participating. After his stellar performance. Therefore, Tomar joined the Navy and started playing Kabaddi for the Navy under the sports quota.  Nitin was part of the Indian contingent which won the 2016 Kabaddi world cup, Asian Kabaddi Championship in 2017.


Nitin Tomar began his Pro Kabaddi League career with Bengal Warriors in season 3. Tomar scored 77 raid points from 10 matches. He was not retained by Bengal Warriors in spite of his performance. Puneri Paltan signed Nitin for season 4. Therefore in season 4, he showed courage by playing with an injured hand.

In season 5, U.P Yodha signed Tomar for a mammoth amount of 93 lakhs. Therefore, he was the highest-paid player for Season 5. Nitin scored 177 points from 24 matches. In season 6, Puneri Paltan bought Nitin. Nitin had a decent season with the team. In season 7, Puneri Paltan bought Nitin again in the auctions. Nitin was bought for 1 crore 20 lakhs after Puneri Paltan utilized the Final Bid Match to bring back its star into the squad. Therefore, making the player enter the crorepati club.  Season 7 was a relatively bad season for Tomar. He scored 73 points in 15 matches.
