Tamil Thalaivas were coming into the 29th Match of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 7 after a solid victory with the Haryana Steelers in a heated encounter. The UP Yoddha had even tied with the Telugu Titans in their previous battle. Both the teams were looking forward to winning the match to improve their position on the points table.

Monu went out for the UP first raid only to be sent immediately off the mat. Rahul Chaudhari, the poster boy of the PKL, stole a swift point from the UP Yoddha defense to score for the Tamil Thalaivas.

After half time, the Yoddha were leading with the score of 16-11. As the second half even commenced, Ajay went in the rival court and scored his first point of the night. Mohit Chillar initiated a beautiful tackle as he was successful in sending the Devadiga outside the court.

In the 30th minute of the battle, UP Yoddha conceded an all out, tying with the Thalaivas on the 23 each. Eventually, the heated battle came to an end as a tie as the two teams even ended the match on 28 each. The score looks deceptive as UP was also doing well in the first half, but the Thalaivas caught up with them and ended the affair on a tie.
