Three times champions Patna Pirates registered their first win of the Pro Kabaddi League as they beat Telugu Titans 34-22. The defeat meant the Titans ended their home leg on a very unusual note.
Jaideep was a rock for the Patna defense and kept the “The Baahubali” brothers Siddharth Desai and Suraj Desai quiet in the entire match. The match was billed as a clash between the two top riders of the league and it was a “Record Breaker” Pardeep Narwal who even emerged as to be on the top in that battle as he scored 7 points.
Siddharth “Baahubali” was sent to the bench six times by the Patna Defense. The match showed that Patna pirates are not even totally reliant on Pardeep “Record Breaker” Narwal as the likes of the Jang Kun lee, Mohammed Maghsoudlou, and Hadi Oshtorak is some of the vital players in the Patna Pirates. Patna Pirates defense scored around 16 tackle points and laid the foundation for a solid victory.
The second half of the game began in a similar fashion as Patna Pirates defense did a tight job on the Desai brothers. Siddharth Desai made a successful do or die raid in the last 25tth minute as Telugu Titans trailed 12-24. Jang Kun picked up with two raid points and is providing to be a fine addition to the Patna Pirates side.
It even took around 30 minutes for the Suraj Desai to pick his first point and by that time Telugu Titans fate was almost sealed. Patna Pirates showcased an excellent display of team effort and even ensured that the Titans ended their home leg without a win.
