The home side of the Puneri Paltan will now be going to take on the Gujarat Fortune Giants in the first match of the Pune log on a Saturday, 14th of September at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Pune, as a part of the PKL 2019.
The last time both these sides met, Pune beat the Gujarat 33-31 in a close encounter but more essentially, the Paltan come into this content on the back of a close 42-39 loss at the hands of the Bengal Warriors in their previous game and will even be raring to the bounce back to winning ways.
The Fortune Giants too have had their face share of ill luck as they will be walking into this clash with a loss, a 33-26 at the hands of the UP Yoddha which they will hope to overturn from this match.

The Paltan did not even miss the Nitin Tomar against the Bengal as Pankaj Mohite, and Manjeet racked up the raid points for the side. Pankaj especially was brilliant with the 11 raid points while Manjeet got seven raid points and three tackle points.
