Maninder Singh was the star for the home Bengal Warriors as they beat the defending champions Bangalore Bulls with 42-40 in a high scoring PKL 2019 encounter in the Kolkata on Thursday.
Maninder scored around 17 raid points for the Bengal as they overcome a raiding fest by the Bulls Pawan Sehrawat who finished with the 19 raid points – to win in front of a packed audience at the Netaji Shubhash Chandra Bose Indoor Stadium. The win meant the Warriors completed their home leg unbeaten, with the three wins in four matches while even jumping to the second in the points table.
Bulls started the second half with an aggressive strategy, and it even paid quick dividends. Pawan Sehrawat quickly grabbed his super ten as the defending champions inflicted as an All-Out of the Bengal in the 4th minute of the second half to six point lead. Nabibakhsh and Minder kept the Bengal team in the game with their all-rounder performance.
The VIVO Pro Kabaddi caravan now shifts to Pune where Anup Kumar’s Paltan side will be looking to make most of the home advantage.
