Pro Kabaddi League 2019: Tamil Thalaivas look to end home leg on high against U Mumba

Tamil Thalaivas hosts U Mumba in the Pro Kabaddi League at the Jawahar Lal Nehru in Chennai on Friday.

After ending without a win in the three games, Tamil Thalaivas will be aiming to end their home leg with a victory. U Mumba meanwhile, will be looking to bounce back after their narrow loss against the Haryana Steelers in their previous match.

After an intense back and forth encounter, Tamil Thalaivas came out on the wrong side of the result against the Jaipur Pink in their previous match on Wednesday. So, the match against the U Mumba will serve as their final shot to avoid becoming the third team to finish their home leg with no victories.

The defensive duo of the Mohit Chillar and Ran Singh lead the team tacklers with a seven tackle points at their team home leg so far.

They even possess a strong defensive unit spearheaded by the Fazel, but the team has averaged just nine tackle points, which ranks around 11th in the entire season. U Mumba has won four of the five matches where they have even tackled a strike rate of around 50%, while they have lost all but one of their fixtures where it has dropped under 50.

Skipper Atrachali, alongside defensive stalwart Sandeep and Surinder, hold the key to their team victory. If they are able to neutralize the threat that the opposition superstar raiding duo possesses in an efficient manner, the chances are high that they will emerge victorious on the night.
