Star Indian shuttler PV Sindhu defeated Denmark’s Mia Blichfeldt in straight games to reach the Quarter-Finals. She defeated her opponent with a comfortable two consecutive set victory.

Sindhu started well in the first round but made many mistakes because she was rushing in her defense. She quickly adjusted her tactics and finished the round well at 21-15.
Sindhu used multiple strategies and well-thought shots all around the court in the second round to get the better of her opponent. She used her signature cross-court and straight smashes to get a quick lead in the round. The round ended quickly at 21-13 in PV Sindhu’s favor.
PV Sindhu has now reached the Quarter-Finals. She is just a couple of victories away from confirming another Olympic Medal. She will face Akane Yamaguchi from Japan in her next match in the Quarter Finals.
Sindhu is in great form this year. As she has said, she is not the person she used to be five years ago. The 26-year-old Rio Olympics silver medalist is in full thrust to bag an Olympic gold this time. Let’s hope that it happens!
