Netherlands defeat Ireland in the third ODI in Utrecht. They won the series 2-1 defeating Ireland in the third ODI by 4 wickets with 25 balls to play. This victory over Ireland to go with their 2019 sweep of Zimbabwe, the Netherlands become the 1st Associate to win two consecutive ODI series against Full Members, and they were understrength for both. They’ll be celebrating the points more than the record though.

Ireland got off to a shaky start after being reduced for 28/3 in the first 10 overs. At that, it looked that Netherlands would run through the Ireland’s batting line-up easily and bundle them in less than 150 runs. Harry Tector and George Dockrell notched a partnership in the middle to save the team from collapsing. Ireland ended on 163/10 in their 49.2 overs. Harry Tector was the highest scorer for Ireland scoring 58 runs. Fred Klaassen and Logan Van Beek were the pick of the bowlers picking 3 wickets for each.
Opening the batting for Netherlands were Stephen Myburgh and Max Odowd. Netherlands got off to a good start unlike Ireland. Myburgh crossed the half century mark. The openers made sure to give a good start and not give a shaky start like the other matches. Netherlands defeat Ireland with 25 balls to spare. Myburgh was the top scorer with 74 runs. Simi Singh were the pick of the bowlers picking 3 wickets.
