Here is a disappointing news for Jos Buttler fans, he will not be playing the first match of IPL 2020 for Rajasthan Royals against Chennai Super Kings this Tuesday. He is in quarantine since he and his family have reached the UAE separately.
The BCCI, the Board of Control for Cricket in India, reduced the quarantine period to merely 36 hours for Australian and England players since they flew in one bio-secure bubble in the United Kingdom to another bio-secure bubble in the United Arab Emirates. But because Buttler came separately, for him the quarantine period is strictly six days.
However, Buttler was hoping that Ben Stokes who is an all-rounder English player would play for Rajasthan Royals sometime in this IPL 2020. Ben Stokes skipped the starting of the IPL 2020 because he wished to be around his family members in New Zealand. He has not given any information regarding his presence in the later half of Indian Premier League, 2020. He still has to join the Rajasthan Royals team in UAE.
Rajasthan Royals will be disappointed with this recent update as Buttler had a crucial role in their playing 11.
