No. 5- Lalit Yadav against Rohit Sharma
There is no one better, but Rohit Sharma, who plays the pull shot to perfection. But this time Anrich Nortje, and Lalit Yadav had something else in the store for him. Nortje bowled a shorter delivery outside the off stump. Rohit tried to pull it and found substitute fielder Lalit Yadav at deep Mid-Wicket, who was diving forward to complete the catch.
No. 4- Anukul Roy against Mahipal Lomror
Rahul Chahar bowled a fuller delivery to Mahipal Lomror, who tried to attack the ball. Instead, he got the leading edge, and the ball went to the offside, straight into the hands of backward diving substitute fielder Anukul Roy.
No. 3- Jagadeesha Suchith against Manish Pandey
Chris Jordan bowled in the slot to Manish Pandey, and he lofted it straight above the bowler’s head. Jagadeesha Suchith, who was fielding at long-off, ran in towards the ball and jumped high to grab the catch. Looks like 2020 was a year for the substitute fielders.
No. 2- Devdutt Padikkal against Saurabh Tiwary
Devdutt Padikkal impressed everyone with his batting, but he was good in the field too. In the match against Mumbai Indians, he caught Saurabh Tiwary off Mohammad Siraj. He was fielding at mid-off, and Siraj tried to go for the yorker. Tiwary drove it straight, and Padikkal dived forward to his left and took a stunning catch.
No.1- Jofra Archer against Ishan Kishan
The experienced bowler was the one who took the catch, and young bowler Kartik Tyagi took the wicket. Tyagi bowled a Good-length delivery and Kishan, tried to ramp it over the third man. The ball almost went for a six. Jofra Archer, who was the fielder at third-man, jumped back and grabbed a one-handed blinder to make it the best catch of the season.
