1. “Who Rules the World” – 1992
This beautiful song was introduced in 1992. It was performed by Unaid Khan from the band “Call” in collaboration with Hassan Omer from the band “Symt”. It was a tribute to the heroes of 1992 World Cup heroes.
2. “Chokra” – 1996
This song was made in Sri Lanka. The Sri Lankans were the first host country to win the World Cup, the first country to win the World Cup batting second and it was also their first time winning the ICC World Cup.
3. “Life is a Carnival” – 1999
This World Cup Anthem came out just one day after England were eliminated from the World Cup. The early exit of the host played the spoiler and it could not sell the anthem that year. It became part of the unsuccessful tournament’s legacy when nostalgic fans talk about organizational difficulties.
4. “Welcome To Our Home” – 2003
The hosts were South Africa, and they did not leave any stone unturned to ensure their presence as host to the world. The song was written by Sello Twhala, composed by Busi Mhlongo, and sung by Nokwazi Dlamini and P.J. Powers.
5. “The Game of Love and Unity” – 2007
It was the turn of the West Indies to show the world, how brilliant a host they were. The Anthem “The Game of Love and Unity” was a pure hit. This anthem was written, composed, and sung by Rupee along with Jamaican Shaggy and Trinidadian Fay-Ann Lyons.

6. “De Ghumaa Ke” – 2011
The time has come for Asia to showcase their supremacy as a host. The 2011 Cricket World Cup was supposed to be played in India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka combined. The much-awaited World Cup Anthem was released on 31st December 2010. This Anthem was composed by the trio of Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and was sung by Shankar Mahadevan and Divya Kumar. To date, fans recognize this track as one of the best among all.
7. “WDL” – 2015
The Cricket World Cup 2015 was being played in Australia and New Zealand. The Anthem which was performed by Bob’s Beat Feat Mawe. The Anthem was already a big hit among the fans around the globe. This track is also one of the top World Cup Anthem ever written and performed.
8. “Stand By” – 2019
The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2019 was supposed to be organized in England and Wales and the people were waiting for the Anthem to officially kick start the World Cup. The collaboration between new artist LORYN and one of the UK’s most successful and influential acts, Rudimental brought the “Stand By”, it was loved by people around the Globe and for sure the tunes are still fresh in people’s memories.
9. “Dil Jashn Bole” – 2023
As the entire India is ready to organize the 2023 Cricket World Cup alone for the first time, the excitement and confidence are surreal. Recently a brand new anthem has been released which goes by the name of ‘Dil Jashn Bole’, It is composed and sung by Pritam whereas a popular Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh has been featured in the anthem. From the first impression it looks like the anthem is not going well among the fans, but eventually, people will start enjoying it as the World Cup nears.
