Robert Lewandowski is one of the best strikers of our generation. His prolific goal scoring record sends us back to the era of born finishers. The Polish striker has had some memorable moments on the pitch. Do you still remember Pep’s reaction when he scored 5 in 9 minutes against Wolfsburg? Do you still go back to the time when he shared that innocent smile with Reus on the field after he joined Bayern?

Every single moment Robert Lewandowski has produced lingers in our memory irrespective of which club you support. But with time things change people move on and maybe it is time for him to move on as well.

In an interview Robert Lewandowski said

“My era at Bayern is over. I don’t see any possibility to continue playing for this club anymore.

Bayern’s a serious club and I believe they won’t keep me, I don’t want to play there anymore. A transfer is the best solution. I hope they don’t stop me.

I hope Bayern won’t stop me just because I’ve a contract until June 2023… maybe I can give you information after international matches.”

You can’t deny the fact that in all the glory Bayern Munich achieved in the past few years Robert has played a huge role in it.

What lies ahead for Robert Lewandowski?

Barcelona has shown some serious intent in securing the services of Lewandowski. The financial condition of Barcelona is the only thing that may restrict his move to Camp Nou. Real Madrid can also rise as a possible contender after failing to land Mbappe and Haaland. They are running out of options and Robert can prove to be the best alternative for these players.

It will be interesting to see in which colours we will see Lewandowski in the upcoming season. His travel to an unfamiliar terrain will surely catch the eye of all the football fans next season.
