David Alaba Signs For Real Madrid after Leaving Bayern Munich
Real Madrid announced a new signing on Friday. At last, the Austrian defender David Alaba sets to join the Spanish giants. He left Bayern Munich after this season. He will join Real Madrid on a five-year contract. The 28-year-old linked with many English Premier League clubs.
He came to the club just the day after Zinedine Zidane quit as Real coach. “Real Madrid has reached an agreement with David Alaba, who will be linked to the club for the next five seasons,” Madrid said in a statement.
Alaba will be presented as a Madrid player after Euro 2020.
Also, Austria international has been hugely successful at Bayern. He won two Champions League trophies and 10 league titles with Bayern.
Alaba spends 13 years on the German side. He announced in February that he would leave Bayern when his contract expires at the end of the season.
Bayern wants to negotiate with Alaba in November 2020. Although, the negotiations had broken down as Alaba wants more salary caps.
Liverpool and Manchester City took interested to sign the Austrian defender. At last, he chooses Real Madrid on a five-year contract. He will earn around 10.5m per year.
Alaba enjoyed a prolific 13 years in Bavaria. He won 10 Bundesliga titles and two Champions Leagues and six German Cups.
