Premier League: Sunday Fixture Preview

With the Saturday match previews already done, let’s now dive into the only premier league game taking place on Sunday.

Leeds United vs Liverpool

This is the only game taking place on Sunday the 12th of September. Leeds host Liverpool at Elland Road, kick-off is scheduled for 11:00 PM IST.

Liverpool is unbeaten till now, winning 2 and drawing their last game against 10 men Chelsea. Klopp’s men will be frustrated in dropping points against 10 men and will look to bounce back strong.

Due to FIFA regulations, the reds will miss out on their three key Brazilians: Allison, Firmino, and Fabinho. Spanish midfielder Thiago is likely to start the game. Back-up keeper Kelleher will come in for Allison.

The reds lie in 5th place on the same points as second-place West Ham and will be looking to continue their unbeaten streak.

Leeds United

Marcelo Bielsa’s men are still looking for their first win of the season. Having lost 6-1 to Manchester United in the first game, Leeds has drawn their following two games against Everton & Burnley.

New Signing, Daniel James will be rearing to go and should get a start, as Raphina will be Isolating due to FIFA regulations.

Junior Firpo, Mateusz Klich are both isolating as well. Leeds United’s first game back into the premier league was a thrilling 3-4 defeat at Anfield. Bielsa will be hoping that the tie changes and Leeds will be able to register their first win of the season.

Fabinho’s absence is gonna be a key point in this game. He provides Liverpool’s midfield with his defensive stability. Leeds is well-known to outrun their opponents, and with the Elland Road crowd behind them in full voice, and a depleted Liverpool side, I think this might be the game where Marcelo Bielsa’s men grab their first win of the season.
