Football is coming thick and fast for the Premier League clubs. Most of the clubs just played in the Carabao Cup, and now have to be ready for the league. With this being the start of game week 6, there’s more of an idea to know what to expect from the clubs.

7 games will take place on Saturday, September 25th, and will commence at 5:00 PM IST. Here’s a deeper insight into the games and what to expect.

Chelsea vs Man City

Chelsea host Man City at the Stamford Bridge. This is a game between two of the title contenders. Chelsea’s victory over the spurs was a statement from Tuchel’s men who are still unbeaten and top of the table. Lukaku has been in sublime form for the blues, and the return of Kante in the last game will also boost their squad.

Man City’s three-game winning streak ended last week with a 0-0 score vs Southampton. Pep’s men looked stylish in their cup clash vs Wycombe, but this is a mountainous task as Chelsea has only conceded one goal in the league.  The Citizens, however, are only 3 points behind the leaders in the 6th position. A win in this game will take them level on points with the league leaders.

Manchester United vs Aston Villa

Man United might have had bad results in cup competitions, but are still unbeaten and 3rd on 13 points. Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 3 goals in 2 games, and no one is doubting him anymore. Jadon Sancho has looked impressive in glimpses but is still not directly involved in goals. French connection of Varane and Pogba has also been in great touch and added solidity to the team. There’s no room for Solskjaer’s men to drop points, and need to make sure they pick up all three points from this game.

Aston Villa has been a bit inconsistent this season. In 11th position, they’ve won 2, drawn 1, and lost 2. They ended Everton’s unbeaten run by beating them 3-0, just one week after Chelsea had beat them 3-0. Dean Smith will be looking for his team to get consistency. They will look to make it difficult for Manchester United, as they have a solid defense and fast wingers who can capitalize by counter-attacking.

Leicester vs Burnley

The foxes have not started the season as they would’ve wished. Losing 3 out of 5 games, Brendan Rodgers needs to make sure his team gets all three points against relegation-threatened Burnley.  New signing, Lookman looked good in their cup game and deserves a start in the league. James Maddison will be looking to improve his performance and get involved in goal contributions. Schmeichel and co. will be looking to be defensively solid and dominate this game.

Burnley is 19th in the table and still looking for their first win of the season. Sean Dyche’s men have looked lackluster this season, and maybe the speed of the premier league is catching up to the way that Burnley sets up their team. The Clarets will look to make it a dogged game, and try nicking anything they can from the game.

Everton vs Norwich

Rafa Benetiz’s unbeaten run came to an end with a 3-0 loss to Aston Villa. The Toffees will, however, feel comfortable as they come up against bottom-placed Norwich. The blues got knocked out of the Carabao cup. Strikers, DCL, and Richarlison both missing, but Everton has enough strength to win this game. Demarai Gray and Doucoure have been in great form and should prove to be too strong.

Norwich city doesn’t look up to the premier league level. The canaries lost 3-1 to newly-promoted Watford, and are sitting on the bottom of the table with not a single victory or even a draw. Norwich likes to play from the back, however, it hasn’t worked for them. Their attack is also looking dry and doesn’t have enough goal-scoring ability in them to keep this team in the Premier League.

Injuries/ Unavailabilities

Everton: DCL, Richarlison, Coleman, Delph
Norwich: Byram, Zimmerman, Placheta

Leeds United vs West Ham

Bielsa’s team is running as ever, but it looks like a lot of their teams have figured them out. Leeds is only one place above the relegation zone in 17th and still looking for their first victory of the season. They’ve had a lot of defenders missing through injury, and star-striker Bamford is still looking for his first goal of the season, and wingers Raphina and Rodrigo haven’t been at their best. Playing at home, they will try to use the atmosphere to their advantage and get the three points.

West Ham came back strong against man united as they beat them in the carabao cup, just days after losing harshly to them in the Premier League. Michael Antonio is key to the side and will be back for this game. New signing Zouma, has assured their defense even more and David Moyes’s men will look to get a result in their favor and continue their charge for the European spots.

Injuries/ Unavailabilities

Leeds: Srujik, Llorente, Koch, Harrison
West Ham: Reid

Watford vs Newcastle

Another bottom-of-the-table clash for The Hornets. Watford will look to continue their form from Norwich and take it into this clash. They are currently in 11th, and a win will really boost their confidence. Denis got his second goal of the season, and Ismail Sarr looked at his best and will thrive against Newcastle.

Newcastle is in a relegation battle. Steve Bruce seems to be under immense pressure and needs his players to perform. Saint maximin has been carrying this team alone and will need help from his teammates to get a result out of this game.

Brentford vs Liverpool

Newly Promoted Brentford has impressed everyone in the Premier League. The Bees, however, have their toughest task against them. They are currently in 9th and only lost one of their games. Thomas Frank’s men, whoever the side is will not change their philosophy and try to play their style of football. Ivan Toney is finally looked to adapt to the premier league and will have a tough day with running the channels and helping Brentford by holding up the ball.

Klopp’s men look back to their best. 2019/20 they don’t lose a single game for the first 25 games, and the team is looking to do the same. It’s been inevitable that Salah will score a goal, midfielder Thiago is also now used to the premier league place.  With two title contenders playing each other in Chelsea vs City, the reds will look to capitalize and try and go to the top of the table

Brentford: Gunnerson, DaSilva, Sorenson
Liverpool: Elliot, Firmino
