Review of Italy’s squad:
For me, the squad is looking so balanced. We all know that Italy plays mostly defensive games. They always try to grab a goal from a counterattack or set-piece movement. In the goalkeeping position, their first choice will be
Donnarumma. He plays for AC Milan and has a great hand behind AC Milan’s top 4 finish. The 22 years Old Italian has 15 clean sheets this season.
About Defense of Italy:
Also, in defense, Italy has two faithful and veteran players. In center Back position Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci will play together. Both of them also play for Juventus together. So, they have nice bonding.
In two side-back positions, they also have two good young talents. In Right Back position they have
Alessandro Florenzi. He had a good season for PSG; He is a regular starter from the Paris giant’s side. In Left Back position they will start with Leonardo Spinazzola from Roma.
About Italy Mid-field:
Italy has some brilliant creative mid-fielders also. Firstly, their main midfielder is Marco Verratti. He plays for PSG regularly and also there he has the most number of assists. In the final third he can give some beautiful through passes. Also, Italy has Nicolo Barella. He has a huge role behind Inter Milan’s success this season. They also, have Pellegrini from Roma. He is an amazing youngster.
In the RMF position, surely they will go with Federico Chiesa. This young guy is just awesome. In this season after Ronaldo, he was the main player for Juventus.
About Italy strikers:
At the striking position, Roberto Mancini has many options. In the first team, surely he will go with Ciro Immobile and Lorenzo Insigne. I don’t need to tell anything about their brilliance. Immobile has 20 goals and 6 assists in Serie A this season. Insigne has 19 goals and 7 assists in this season. Together they both can be destructive against any team.
Also, for substitution, Roberto Mancini has many options according to the situation. He has Andrea Belotti from Torino and Federico Bernardeschi from Juventus. They both are brilliant and can score in any position.
In my opinion, this Italian team has many resources to win this Euro 2021 trophy. So, we are wishing them the Best of Luck for their upcoming campaign.
