Bayern Munich won their 9th Bundesliga title in a row. Therefore, Munich was confirmed as champions on matchday 32 after Dortmund defeated RB Leipzig who was 2nd in the title race. This ensured that Bayern would lift the 9th straight League title.

Predictions made at the beginning of the season

With predictions made that the team would receive tough competition from Borussia Dortmund and RB Lepzig to win the Bundesliga in the 2020-21 season after winning the Domestic treble in the previous season.  

Season in a nutshell:

 Bayern started their campaign by continuing their form from the previous season. Hence, they were undefeated for the first 7 games in the campaign. On matchday 8 they were held for a draw. On matchday 9 they faced their first defeat to Stuttgart. They were held for a draw on matchday 10 and matchday 11 by RB Leipzig and Union Berlin respectively. Bayern then went on to win 9 consecutive matches. Before they were held for a draw on Matchday 21 by Arminia. They then won 6 consecutive games in the League. Bayern Munich was held for a draw by Union Berlin on matchday 28. They won the next 2 games before losing to Mainz on matchday 31. Therefore, Bayern was confirmed Bundesliga title on matchday 32 after defeating Borussia Monchengladbach. Bayern were held for a draw on matchday 33 and also won the final league game.
