Andrea Pirlo delivered Juventus to the Coppa Italia and the Supercoppa Italiana titles. Unfortunately, they finished fourth in Serie A. They secured their Champions League spot on the final day of the season. Massimiliano Allegri can make a comeback in the club two years after leaving.

Andrea Pirlo has been sacked as Juventus head coach:

The Turin club is close to announcing the return of Massimiliano Allegri as their head coach. He will replace Pirlo. It is expected that the 53-year-old will re-sign within the next 24 hours.
Pirlo took over from Maurizio Sarri in August last year. He guided Juve to the Coppa Italia and Suppercoppa Italiana. Also, Juve could not win the top-flight title of Italy. They earned the 4th spot in the league table. After 10 years Inter Milan won the trophy.
Also, they secured the 4th spot on the last day. Also, it did not come easily. They got the chance as Napoli dropped one point on the final day. If Napoli won the last match then Juve did not get the ticket to UCL.

Juve issued the following message to Pirlo upon his departure from the Allianz Stadium: “Thank you, Andrea.
“These are the first words that all of us need to say at the end of this special experience together. A few months ago, Andrea Pirlo, an icon of world football, began his new adventure, his first as a coach.

“To do this, first of all, it takes courage, as well as awareness of one’s means, especially in a period marked by thousands of difficulties, with the world forced by the pandemic to reinvent its rules day after day.

“Pirlo has just begun the first steps of what will no doubt become a brilliant career as a coach. An adventure of transformation, seeking, and often managing, to bring his ideas and his experience as a champion on the pitch from the “other side” of the fence.

The 42-year-old Italian won seven major honors for Juventus as a player from 2011 to 2015. He also managed the club’s U23s side before appointed as the head coach of the first team in 2020.
Juventus could miss out on the Champions league ticket after 2011-12 seasons. Thanks to Napoli that they failed to grab a victory over Bologna.

Juve knocked out from the Champions League at the last-16 phase. They lost to FC Porto. That is also a reason for Pirlo’s sack.
