Fantasy Team |England vs Sri Lanka | 1st ODI

England is set to host Sri Lanka for 3 One Day Internationals. Sri Lanka has toured England for 3 T20 Internationals and 3 One Day Internationals. England clean swept Sri Lanka in the T20 leg. It was a terrible series for Sri Lanka. Here are the Fantasy picks for today’s match

Despite the fact that England will be playing without some of their first choice players, they are favourites to win this match. Ben Stokes is unavailable due to his finger injury. Jofra Archer won’t be taking part in this series. Jos Buttler is down with his injury as well. Jason Roy, who missed the third T20I due to hamstring pull, will be on the bench today as well.

Sri Lanka is already weak with their batting line up and it’s getting worse for them. Three players were suspended due to bio bubble breach. The three players are Kusal Mendis, Gunathilaka and Niroshan Dickwella. Sri Lanka have a squad of 24 men so it won’t be difficult to find replacements.

England has come out on top 6 times out of the last 8 encounters of both teams.

Both the teams will be playing without certain main players but a lot of players to look out for who will give you a lot of fantasy points. The Fantasy Team follows :-

Fantasy Team :

Johny Bairstow :

Johny Bairstow is a rockstar. He goes all bonkers on the top and utilizes the powerplay brilliantly. If not his aggregate runs, his strike rate can give you multiple fantasy points. His last ODI series, against India was exceptional. A total of 219 runs in three matches was his performance against India.

Kusal Perera :

Sri Lankan captain has a lot of responsibility on his head. Kusal Perera will be the key player for Sri Lanka today. He performed well in the previous ODI that he played. He scored 120 runs in that match and won the match for his team. The only bankable Sri Lankan to give you Dream 11 fantasy points

Joe Root :

Joe Root is coming back to the ODI team of England. He missed the 3-match ODI series against India due to the rotation policy of England. He did not fare well in the Test series against New Zealand and will be hungry for runs.

Sam Billings :

Sam Billings has a great chance to perform well and settle his place in the team. He is replacing Jos Buttler in the XI as Jos is down with injury. Sam is a destructive player and sets the game well.

Dhananjaya De Silva:

Dhananjaya is a handy all rounder in the Sri Lankan team. He will have a huge responsibility in today’s match. In the last game against Bangladesh, Dhananjaya scored a half century and set up a good partnership with Kusal Perera.

Liam Livingston:

Liam Livingston is an amazing player. He takes up his role perfectly. He played the last game against India but could not capitalise. A good partnership with Billings in the last game provided him confidence. He performed well in the T20 Blast as well.

Wanindu Hasaranga :

Wanindu Hasaranga is a mad man. The only Sri Lankan player capable of scaring the English team. His off break is quite decieving and his ability to finish games down the order is mindblowing. He should be the very first Sri Lankan to be a part of your Fantasy team.

Sam Curran:

The young dynamite has a lot under his skin. He can explode with the bat and the ball. His 95 runs innings against India while chasing 330 proved that he is not just a mere cameo player. Partnering Chris Woakes at the top, he provides swing.

Mark Wood:

Clicks 150kmph whenever he bowls. Bangs in short balls on the batsmen in the middle overs. Sets up batsmen and keeps the economy low. How can he not be in the Fantasy Xi? He’ll be the main pacer for England.

Dushmantha Chameera:

Chameera recorder his career best figure against Bangladesh in the third ODI. He picked 5 wickets in his 9 overs and gave just 16 runs. He is going to be the main bowler for Sri Lanka in the powerplay

Adil Rashid:

Eoin Morgan just loves Adil Rashid. Whenever he brings Adil into the attack, some tactical move is behind it. Adil provides useful breakthroughs. He is the lead spinner for England. Mo Ali will partner with Adli as the spinning duo for England.
