Gameweek 14 was started with a bang from Klopp’s team, Liverpool was playing Crystal Palace in an away game, Takumi Minamino gave a head start to his team in the initial minutes of the game, followed by Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino putting the scoreline 3 – 0 at the end of first half. Captain Henderson joined the scoring party in the second half followed by another goal from Roberto Firmino. Salah was benched for the first half and made an entry to the field in the 2nd Half of the game and provided an assist to Firmino and scored 2 goals in the last 10 minutes of the game, It was an overall domination from Liverpool’s side, which helped them finish at the 1st spot right before Christmas. 

In the other match, Southampton took on Manchester City, with an early assist from Captain Kevin De Bruyne, Raheem Sterling scored the opening goal for Manchester City. Southampton failed to find an equalizer, both the teams created a fair number of chances to score a goal. The match ended up in a 1-0 victory for Manchester City.

Everton took on Arsenal on Saturday evening, Everton’s last match momentum kept their performances up, Everton had an early goal with Calvert Lewin’s Header deflected by Rob Holding into his own Net. In the 35th minute, Nicolas Pepe scored a penalty for his team to equalize the score for his team. Right before the half time whistle, Yerry Mina scored a goal to put Everton in front. The Game ended with the score line 2 – 1 and 3 points were awarded to Everton. 

On Sunday, Newcastle United took on Fulham, the match ended up in a tie between the teams, Newcastle United’s Matt Richie offered an own goal to Fulham and Later on Equalized by Callum Wilson with a penalty. 

In the other game, Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspurs took on Leicester City. A weak performance from Hotspurs, right before the whistle of first half, Jamie Vardy scored a penalty to open the scoreline. In the second half, Toby Alderweireld gave away another goal to Leicester City to put them in front with 2 goal lead. At the end, Leicester City won with the scoreline 2 – 0.

Manchester United were facing Leeds United, Manchester United were the conquerors for the match, in the initial minutes of the game, Scott McTominay scored two back to back goals, to put his team in the top gear. McTominay was followed by Bruno Fernandes and Victor Lindelof to put their team in front with a four goal lead. In the 42nd minute, Liam Cooper scored the opening goal for Leeds. In the second half, Daniel James joined the scoring party and Bruno Fernandes backed another goal to his name by scoring a penalty. Stuart Dallas scored a goal for Leeds in the last 20 minutes of the game. The match ended up with a score line 6 – 2, helping Manchester United climb the table and be a part of the title race.
