VIRAT KOHLI DECIDES TO STEP DOWN FROM INDIA’S T20 CAPTAINCY.

Virat Kohli has announced on Thursday evening that T20 World Cup 2021 will be his last assignment as T20 Captain for India. He is all set to step down from T20 Captaincy after T20 World cup.

But he will remain the captain in the other two formats – ODI and TESTS. His recent performance as a captain in Tests has led India to win the series against England for the first-time in 13 years. The silver lining is that he has not won even a single tournament for India as captain.

The talk for Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma on T20 Captaincy has been going for a long time. But now the talk will come to an end with Virat Kohli leaving the captaincy. Kohli has taken the decision to focus on his batting as captain has not been in a good form since two years now.

“After a lot of contemplation and discussion with my close people, Ravi bhai and also Rohit, who have been an essential part of the leadership group, I have decided to step down as the T20 captain after this T20 World Cup in Dubai in October,” Kohli said in a lengthy Instagram and Twitter post.
