In the 4th match of IPL season 13 Chennai Super Kings and rajasthon Royals are going to faceoff. As you look into the Chennai Super Kings IPL history they had won the first two matches in most of the seasons. Making it true they have started this season with a win. Defeating the defending champions Mumbai Indians in the first match by 5 wickets gave a boost to the entire team. The match is held at Sharjah Cricket Stadium. Let’s look into the preview of the match.
Chennai Super Kings:
In the last match, new combo opened the lineup for Chennai Super Kings. But it didn’t catch up as Shane Watson and Murali Vijay both lost their wicket in an early phase. We clearly saw the gap due to the exit of Suresh Raina. It pressured the upcoming batsmen. Due to the steady partnership between Faf du Plessis and Ambati Rayudu, Chennai managed to secure a win and made it to the top of table.
Against Mumbai Indians the bowlers did a very good job by taking wickets in the middle order and making the situation tougher to score. Lungi Ngidi also played a very big role in restricting runs to be scored. Sam Curran proved his presence as an all-rounder by scoring 18 runs off 6 balls in a crucial time helping the team to win the match.
We can expect to happen against Rajasthan Royals as well. MS Dhoni would not make any changes in the lineup. The order may be the same against Rajasthan Royals.
Rajasthan Royals:
Having played any matches yet Rajasthan Royals are going to face against Chennai Super Kings on their first match.
As Steve Smith returned to lead the team after two seasons. He returned to the team straight after winning the ODI series against England. He can make some combinations and build a squad that can face Chennai Super Kings.
The team had auctioned David Miller and Ankit Rajpoot who can be expected to join in the playing eleven. The lineup would start with Robin Uthappa and Jos Buttler. Steve Smith occupies the third position. He is followed by young player Sanju Samson, David Miller who build the foundation if the top order fails. The most anticipated Ben Stokes who had been the costliest player in this season.
Bowling side consists of Jofra Archer who can bowl some excellent bouncers. He accompanied with Jaydev Unadkat can bowl some extraordinary spells. Steve has other choices in front of him like Oshane Thomas, Tom Curran who can be expected in the pitch. Spinners include Shreyas Gopal who had bowled some good spells in the last season.
Mayank Markande joining the team would be a great choice for Steve Smith. He had a wonderful last season by capturing his spot in the purple cap. Other Indian bowlers include Varun Aaron, Rahul Tewatia etc.
As the preview is looking good, both teams are equipped with talented players and headed with skilled captains.
