Shaheen Shah Afridi is a professional cricketer who plays for the Pakistan National Team and Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League. Afridi is a Pakistani fast-bowler who can bowl 90 mph. Shaheen was born on 6 April 2000 in Landi Kotal, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.
Afridi has won the highest wicket taker award in the 2018 Under 19 World Cup. He was also awarded the Rising Star of the squad after the 2019 Cricket World Cup by the International Cricket Council.
Shaheen Afridi was a part of the Under 19 squad for the 2016 Under 19 World cup and 2018 Under 19 World cup. He was the highest wicket-taker in the 2018 edition.
Shaheen Afridi made his ODI debut for Pakistan on 31 September 2018 receiving Cap number 218. Afridi was a part of the 2019 Cricket World Cup in which he was awarded the Rising Star of the squad. He was also the youngest player to take a Five-Wicket Haul in a World Cup. Therefore, his bowling figures of 6/35 was the best by any Pakistani bowler in the World Cups.
