T20 World Cup: Raja ropes in Hayden and Philander

Hayden and Philander’s appointment come in the background of late acquiescences of Misbah-ul-Haq and Waqar Younis, who resigned from their jobs as head coach and bowling coach, separately. While PCB declared Saqlain Mushtaq and Abdul Razzaq as the mean time mentors for Pakistan.

The Aus-African Connection

Viewed as perhaps the most dashing opener, Hayden featured for Australia in 103 Tests, 161 ODIs and 9 T20Is. In the time between 1994 and 2009, hoarding 8625, 6133 and 308 runs separately, including 40 international hundreds. Proteas pacer Philander, in the mean time, featured for his country in 64 Tests, 30 ODIs and 7 T20Is. Scalping 224, 41 and 4 wickets, individually. He declared his retirement in 2020.

Raja into the act straightaway

The choice came on on September 13 by Ramiz Raja. He took over as the PCB head, supplanting Ehsan Mani yesterday. Raja was chosen collectively and unopposed, having been chosen by Prime Minister and PCB’s benefactor in-boss Imran Khan.

With respect to Misbah and Waqar, Misbah refered to Pakistan’s tight cricket schedule for the coming year. Investing of extensive energy away from family in bio-secure air pockets as the essential purpose for this choice. While Waqar, following him, moved to one side expressing that the duo took control over the reins together. So should leave together as well.
