Suryakumar Yadav’s superb unbeaten 111 from 51 balls during the 2nd T20I at Mount Maunganui on Sunday helped him lift his rating to a career-high of 895. However, he did drop to 890 after being knocked out early on Tuesday at T20I 3 on Tuesday, in a draw after rain ruined the play.
Suryakumar still holds the career-best 54-point record against his closest opponent at the top of the batting rankings.
Suryakumar scored 124 points from 2 games in New Zealand and was sent off only once. Notably, he became the only 2nd Indian player after Rohit Sharma in 2018 to achieve 200 T20I in a calendar year.
It has been a great year for Suryakumar Yadav of T20I cricket. The Mumbai Indians batsman was in top form scoring 239 runs in the T20 World Championship.
He finished the year with 1,164 runs from 31 matches, becoming the first Indian batsman to score over 1,000 runs in a year in T20I cricket.
Pakistani newcomer Mohammad Rizwan (ranking points 836 points) is currently maintaining second place in the T20I batsman rankings.
