The tales have to end and the end has to be memorable. The Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Kolkata Knight Riders Memorable Moment saga has many.

The segment has it all, 2008-till now has seen a lot many other memorable matches each year. We saw 200 plus scores and chased. Back to back century. But what all this has is a tale with enthusiasm, fear, pressure, under pressure batting and bowling, fans night and sometimes a bowler nightmare as well.

This saga has it all as we talk about some great and special nights between RCB and KKR.

2008, 158* from BAZ and 82 all out by RCB, two distinct scores in the 1st IPL. KKR beat RCB by 140 runs margin.

The first match of IPL and you cannot witness this in 2008. But what fans saw was unexpected as it was just a start to a new segment in the world of cricket. This was big when KKR opened the batting with Brendon McCullum on crease along with Sourav Ganguly. Storm straight away , 4 foreign batters in the list and came on to bat one after the other. Ganguly did not play a very huge part in the first one and went back at 12. But the other hand was handled by BAZ hitting back to back sixes. 13 sixes came in super succession and 10 fours. All limelight on McCullum and his 158* took the score to 222/3.

Chasing 223 in the first ever IPL match seemed unchaseable. Kohli, Dravid, Kallis all went down in very low scores and wickets crumbled. Ajit Agarkar took 4 in his first match. The bowling was superb and economical along with tight fielding.

The match ended in a big blunder for RCB getting all out for 82. The MVP Baz made a firing start to the Mega Event which then became the world richest league.

2011, RCB’s Gayle 102* stunned  KKR with chase done in 18 overs.

Gayle was on fire and what all wanted was him to fire each and every match. They did reach the final in the same year as well. The teams met to make a match more exciting and yes fans saw it. KKR opened to bat with Kallis and Brad Haddin on both ends. Both played a good innings with a score of 40 and 18 (Haddin). Gambhir came in and the captain then made 48, a responsive innings . And the hitter then for KKR Yusuf Pathan put some biggies out of the park. His 46 off 24 with 3 sixes and 3 fours proved crucial. They then reached a total of 171/5.

With 172 to chase and Gayle in front of you. The fear then was more now as Gayle bat came talking. Chris Gayle with T Dilshan who made 38 off 31 were firing. Virat in but he just made 30. Gayle above 100 , yes. Gale storm as the famous word for him came in with 7 long sixes and 10 grounded quick fours that let the KKR bowlers down. The then score of 172 was easily chased in 18.1 overs.

RCB night and Gayle’s storm made things look comfortable for both team and fans.

2014, KKR closed down RCB on 148 to win by 2 runs.

We did see a close contest over the years and yes this tale is a different one from those between the two Royal Challengers Bangalore VS Kolkata Knight Riders. KKR had Kallis and Gambhir as openers this time. The squad of KKR was as strong as RCB, a deep batting lineup for KKR. Runs on board expected. But pitch has its ideas. Kolkata Knight Riders opened the batting. Chris Lynn made 45 off 31 with 3 fours and 3 sixes. Kaliis made slow 43 off 42. Robin and SKY made 22 and 24 each helped reach150 on board.

The innings was on the other side as well. Royal Challengers Bangalore was not that slow and the depth in batting was not that bad as well. With the likes of Yuvraj Singh and ABD and Albie Morkel. Three main bowling performances by Kallis, Vinay kumar and Sunil Narine. They just pitched the ball on line and length.

126/3 in 17 overs and Yuvraj and ABD on crease. 7 run rate required and then also the bowlers made themselves and the team happy. 9 off the final over and just 6 by Vinay Kumar and that too with a wicket of ABD.

What a nail biting event and a night full of suspense. A must watch highlight to look at. This is one of the memorable matches between RCB vs KKR.

2015, Rain washed match, RCB chase target 112 in 10 overs.

Rain made the day look like it will be a no ball event. But the rain had to stop to give a day suspense, powershot, sixes, biggies and enthusiasm. Back then, Kohli was hitting 11 centuries in a calendar year. But the IPL was on the trot as well for Virat kohli.

What a day, what a sight. Russell 45 off 17 overcome by Mandeep Singh 45* off 18.

Knights saw that 10 overs and Russell had to come up the order. Just Andre Russell night from KKr side as he made blistering 45 off 17 and run out. Other team members helped KKR reach 111/4 in the 10 overs.

RCB had the storm and it was Gayle. 21 off 9 just 3 sixes and back to the dressing room. Kohli 34 off 21 and ABD bowled. The fans thought even 80 would not be achievable. Mandeep Singh the short hand gun showed what it takes to overcome the fear and do it for the team and fans all over the world. The night at Chinnaswamy was more lighter as Mandeep Singh cleared off 12 runs off Andre Russell’s final over by hitting back to back sixes.

The sage has more but the rain washed night makes this Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Kolkata Knight Riders Memorable Moment

2019, Kohli’s 100 overcame all others, RCB beat KKR by 10 runs.

It was the time when Kohli was hitting centuries in a calendar year. But the IPL was on the trot as well for Virat kohli.

In this match Royals opened the innings with none other than Virat Kohli getting the bat talking. The start was as usual. Slowly the Kohl bat was sturdy and ready to go and then the runs pondered all around the ground. Kohli made 100 off 58 but was it enough to reach 213. No, Moeen Ali played an innings of 66 which was more liked as the runs flowed in a flurry manner. His 5 sixes were the one which made other team members confident of doing it well in the bowling department as well.

Chasing 214, KKR openers Lynn and Sunil Narine did not do well. How you can win a match when you have tumbled top order.  Gill, Robin made 9 each with a lot of balls eaten up. Rana and Russell had other plans in the chase. What a match to watch, sixes in the later half of innings by Rana and Andre Russell.  14 sixes combined but a win not on the way. Short of 10 runs, we came to see 3 consecutive sixes of Marcus Stonis 18th over. 23 needed off the final one and KKR lost. Russell 65 off 25 and Rana 85 off 46 made it a close encounter but not on the win. This makes a match fans love the drama and a RCB vs KKR Memorable Moment Saga.
