While all the teams around the world are preparing for the upcoming world cup in October, a lot of them have already announced their 15-member squads to compete in the world’s most exciting cricket tournament. The T20 world cup had its inception in 2007 which saw India as champions after beating Pakistan in the dramatic finals. Who are the two players?
Indian captain Rohit Sharma and Bangladeshi all-rounder Shakib al-Hasan are the two players who have participated in every T20 world cup tournament since 2007. While Rohit Sharma was playing under legendary captain MS Dhoni in 2007, Shakib played his first T20 world cup under Bangladeshi all-rounder Mohammad Asharful. In 2022, Both Rohit and Shakib will be captaining Indian and Bangladeshi teams respectively.

Indian Captain Rohit Sharma is 4th on the list of highest run scorers in T20 World Cup. Since 2007, Rohit Sharma has scored 847 runs comprising of 80 fours and 31 sixes in 33 matches which include 8 half-centuries at an average of 38.50.
Bangladeshi captain Shakib-al-Hasan has taken 41 wickets in the history of T20 world Cups till 2021 at an economy of 6.43. Shakib has played a total of 31 matches in the tournament. He has also scored 698 runs at an average of 26.48.
