PSL 2021 has ended and it’s been one hell of a tournament. Multan Sultans lifted their maiden PSL title. The touney had a lot of high scoring games. Abu Dhabi pitch offered 2 paced wickets, batting minefields and sluggish wickets as well. This tournament saw Islamabad United recording the highest total in the history of PSL 2021. Batsmen got a lot of runs to their names. Despite having some low scoring games, batsmen did score a lot of runs. Here are the highest run-getters of the tournament:-

5) Sharjeel Khan :
Sharjeel Khan was the opener for Karachi Kings this year. He had a terrific tournament. Partenering with Babar Azam at the top, he had the perfect non-striker in the world. Sharjeel scored 338 runs in 11 matches in PSL 2021. He scored at an average of 30.73. That is more than enough for a striking opener. Striking at 148.25, Sharjeel assured a good start at the top. He also hit a century in a game against Islamabad United. His highest score being 105(59)
4) Shoaib Malik :
Shoaib Malik was the backbone of Peshawar Zalmi’s batting line up. He carried theit innings and kept the scoreboard ticking at all times. Whenever the top order failed, Shoaib was the guy standing. He played many important innings while chasing big totals in the PSL 2021. 354 runs at an average of 35.40 and strike rate being 149.37.
3) Sohaib Maqsood :
The player of the PSL 2021, Sohaib Maqsood was just amazing throughout the tournament. Multan Sultans’ first half of the PSL was not that good and the main reason was Sohaib not in form. But once he got in touch, his melodious innings along with Mohammad Rizwan’s brilliance turned the fate around for Multan Sultans. He aggregated 428 runs at an average of 47.56 and striking at 156.78.
2) Mohammad Rizwan :
The most loved Pakistani player in recent times. Mohammad Rizwan is a stunning performer. His brilliance in the captaincy, behind the wickets and the best with the bat. He is currently one of the best openers in the world. Even the captaincy pressure did not stop him from score. He totalled exact 500 runs at an average of 45.45 and a strike rate of 127.88. The PSL2021 winning captain has had a dream tournament. His highest score – 82(56)
1) Babar Azam :
How can Babar Azam not be in the top of the chart when we talk about highest run getters? He is one of the most consistent batsmen in the world. Karachi Kings totally depended on him for posting par totals on the board. Scoring at a rate of 132.54 he scored 554 runs in 11 matches. He averaged 69.25!! You can never get enough of Babar, he is that good of a player. His highest score was 90(60).
