It’s the end of the seventh match of PSL after its resumption. Multan Sultans defeat Peshawar Zalmi in the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
Mohammed Rizwan captain of Multan Sultans won the toss and elected to bowl first.
Opening the batting for Peshawar Zalmi was the experienced Kamran Akmal and Haider Ali. The openers got off to a good start and had a half-century partnership. Peshawar then lost quick wickets. Shane Rutherford single-handedly increased the team’s score. Zalmi ended 166/7 in their quota of 20 overs. For Peshawar Zalmi Shane Rutherford was the best batsman scoring 56. For Multan Sultans Shahnawaz Dhani was the best bowler picking up 4 wickets and giving 31 runs in 4 overs.
Opening the batting for Multan Sultans were Shan Maqsood and captain Mohammed Rizwan. The openers got off to a good start. Before captain Rizwan and Sohaib Naqsood completely took the game away from Peshawar. They completed the century run stand. Sultans completed 167/2 in 16.3 overs. For Multan Sultans Mohammed Rizwan was the pick of the batsmen scoring 82 runs. For Peshawar Zalmi Mohammed Irfan was the pick of the bowlers. Picking up 1 wicket and giving away only 24 runs in 4 overs. Multan Sultans won the game by 8 wickets and 21 balls to spare.
