DC vs PBKS
It is the first doubleheader of the season and the second match of the day is DC vs PBKS. Both these teams have played two matches so far in the tournament and have won one of those matches. It is the battle of two wicket-keepers, newly-appointed captain Rishabh Pant is up against KL Rahul.
Rishabh Pant, in the last match, played a captain’s known. When his team lost early wickets in the powerplay, he played sensible cricket and tried to rotate the strike and build a partnership. He scored a fifty and took his team to a respectable total. In the second innings, unfortunately, they could not defend the low score. They lost the match, but Pant’s innings was the biggest positive for them. If he continues to play as maturely as he did in the last match, he surely can be a great captain for Delhi Capitals.
Punjab Kings, in the last match, was not up to the mark. In the first innings, half of their side was sent back to the dressing room within the powerplay. Shahrukh Khan gave them some assurance with his smart game. He scored 47 runs. They could only set a target of 107. Chennai Super Kings in return got to the target with ease. They need to as a team and try to figure out what went wrong. They are a very good team and can make a comeback in the next match.
Toss and Pitch Conditions
We have seen some high-scoring matches at the Wankhede this season, and in this match, we can expect the same. The par score at this pitch will be 185. The team winning the toss will want to bat first.
