ONE PLAYER RETENTION SCENARIO :

It’s important to note that not every non-retained player will end up in the auction pool. The IPL will expand to ten teams in 2022, with two additional clubs joining the competition. Before the bidding event, the two new franchises – situated in Lucknow and Ahmedabad, respectively – can select a maximum of three players from the list of non-retained players. In addition, there will be no right-to-match cards offered in the auction. As a result, it will be interesting to watch who will be kept and who will be released.
