KEY BATTLES :
Virat Kohli vs Deepak Chahar
Kohli will face Deepak Chahar, one of Chennai‘s most successful bowlers with two four–inning sets to his name. So far he has 10 wickets in the 2021 IPL. With 203 runs in eight games, Kohli is averaging 29 and hitting a 121.55 hit rate, making for a tempting showdown.
Faf du Plessis vs Kyle Jamieson
Speed and jumping power are combined with solid hitting power. While Jamieson was expensive for RCB, especially in the previous game against KKR. He also has the ability to fool hitters with a handsome York and the sudden bounce from the pitch. Du Plessis, for his part, was great with the CSK racket, with 320 runs in eight games. The South African hitter is currently hitting 143.49 averaging 46.71 in his eight IPL appearances to date.
Yuzvendra Chahal vs CSK skipper MS Dhoni
The World T20 snub had to hurt. It was a slightly different IPL for Chahal with just five wickets in eight games. He picked up a wicket against Kolkata, but was put away for 23 runs.
