Indian team starts Practicing ahead of the WTC Finals

The Indian team starts practicing ahead of the World Test Championship Final at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton. The team arrived in the early hours of 3rd June. Players and their families had to undergo strict quarantine for 3 days before they could interact with other players.

The Indian team had been in quarantine for 14 days before they flew to the United Kingdom. They underwent 3 negative Covid tests in their quarantine before they were allowed to board the flight to the United Kingdom.

The players were allowed to train in the gym in Mumbai while in quarantine. Players are now allowed to practice in the Ageas Bowl.

New Zealand is currently busy in playing the series with England to adapt to the conditions. New Zealand will join the bio-secure bubble on 15th June after completing their ongoing series with England.

Ahead of the World Test Championship (WTC) final against New Zealand from June 18, Indian cricket team all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja shared pictures on Twitter from his training session at The Ageas Bowl in Southampton. Jadeja was seen bowling in the picture uploaded. He is expected to be a key man in the team. Jadeja would also return to the Indian setup after missing the test series against England due to injury.
