In the first ODI, New Zealand’s bowling line up dominated Bangladesh’s batting line up. Trent Boult took 4 wickets followed by James Neesham with 2 wickets and Mitchell Santner with 2 wickets as well. A total of 185 dot balls were bowled in the first innings by New Zealand’s bowlers. An exceptional performance from the Kiwis.
The target of 132 runs was easily chased by Kiwis under 22 overs with 172 balls remaining to play and 8 wickets in hand.
2nd ODI Review:
In the second ODI, Bangladesh was successful in putting up a target of 272 runs in 50 overs. Crucial Innings from the captain Tamim Iqbal who scored 78 runs off 108 balls. Mohammed Mithun who scored 73 runs off 57 balls helped achieve the score on the board.
New Zealand came out to bat to chase the target where Devon Conway played an important innings and scored 72 runs off 93 balls. Captain and Wicket Keeper, Tom Latham scored 110 runs off 108 balls to win the match for New Zealand.
New Zealand now lead the series 2-0, will they be able to grab a clean sheet in the ODI Series?
