T20 Series:
In the Australia tour of New Zealand, 5 Match T20 Series was scheduled out of which 4 have been played and we’re down to the last T20 match which will be the decider for this series.
1st T20
In the beginning of the series, New Zealand’s Devon Conway dominated the first T20 and scored 99 runs off 59 balls which helped New Zealand in setting up a target of 185 runs in 20 overs.
Australia’s batting line up seemed to be struggling while the chase was on, the batting line up found it’s end before 20 overs were complete with only 131 runs on the board. New Zealand successfully defended the score and were leading the series by 1-0.
2nd T20
Moving onto the 2nd T20, New Zealand came out to bat first. Martin Guptil scored 97 runs, Williamson scored 53 runs, Neesham scored a stunning 45 off 16 balls. New Zealand was successful in setting up a target of 220 runs.
When Australia came out to bat, Marcus Stoinis took on the challenge and scored 78 runs, joined by Josh Phillipe and Daniel Sams scoring 45 and 41 runs each. Australia lost the match by a very close margin of 4 runs.
3rd T20
In the 3rd T20, Australia were batting first. Aaron Finch scored 69 runs, followed by Glenn Maxwell who scored 70 runs off 31 balls and Josh Philippe scored 43 runs off 27 balls.
New Zealand had a target of 209 runs to be chased. Ashton Agar worked his magic for Australia by taking 6 wickets and became the first player to take 6 wickets in a T20 match.
Australia registered their first win in the series. New Zealand still lead 2-1.
4th T20
In the 4th T20, Aaron Finch played another stunning knock where he scored 79 runs off 55 balls. Australia were able to put on a target of 157 runs on the board for New Zealand to chase. When New Zealand came out to bat, they faced a batting collapse and got wiped before 20 overs with 106 runs on the board. Australia levelled the series, 2-2.
5th T20
We’re down to the final match for this exciting series. Australia definitely has made a comeback from the low point. They were down 2-0 and now they are level 2-2. Which team is gonna be successful in winning this T20 series? It’s gonna be a high intensity match up tomorrow, Are you ready for this thrilling T20 match? The match is set to be played at the Westpac Stadium in Wellington.
