Sultans won the match by 7 wickets. It is an easy win for the sultans.
Pre-Match
Before the 7th match between Lahore Qalandars and Multan Sultans in PSL went underway, both the teams had played a total of two matches, while Qalandars had won both their matches, Sultans had lost both. Qalandars seemed to have had an upper hand as Sultans had a poor bowling performance in the previous matches.
Toss
As expected, the team winning the toss would choose to bowl first. Multan Sultans won the toss and did exactly that.
First Innings
Lahore Qalandars, in their batting innings, were pretty ordinary. Mohammad Hafeez was the only one that fired a bit and scored 60 runs in 35 balls. Joe Denly had the second-most runs in the innings with 31 runs in 29 balls. They set a target of 158 runs for Sultans, which was just about the par target. Carlos Brathwaite was the star of the bowling unit conceding 20 runs in his 4 overs and 2 wickets.
Second Innings
This target was an easy one for them. Captain Mohammad Rizwan took the charge from the front. Sohaib Maqsood walked in after they lost two quick wickets and these two built a quick partnership with each of them scoring half-centuries. They chased down the target easily in 16.2 overs and won their first match of the season.
