Chahal sent back the well in form skipper Shreyas Iyer for 85 in KKR’s chase of 218 and then took down Shivam Mavi and Pat Cummins to return figures of 5-40 in Mumbai thus turning the match completely in favor of the Rajasthan Royals. At 178 for 4 after 16, it was almost KKR’s game to lose. Chahal made it that much more brutal. Within four balls of over, he had Venkatesh and Shreyas Iyer, stumped and leg-before. He spun the ball miraculously past an advancing Venkatesh, and after bowling wide to Shreyas, slid it all in and faster into the KKR captain, completely surprising him. Shivam Mavi and Pat Cummins followed off the next two balls of the over, giving Chahal perfect a hat-trick as well as a five-wicket haul.
